Bathrooms built to stay dry
A bathroom remodel is a plumbing and waterproofing project wearing nice tile. The showers that fail early fail behind the walls: missing membranes, wrong slopes, no ventilation. Our scope covers the parts you see and the parts you do not: demolition, framing corrections, supply and drain changes, membrane waterproofing, tile, glass, vanities, lighting, exhaust fans and paint, finished with a workmanship warranty in writing.
Projects we take on
- Tub-to-shower conversions with tiled, glass-panel showers
- Full gut remodels of primary, guest and hall bathrooms
- Curbless showers and aging-in-place upgrades
- Adding a bathroom inside an existing footprint, basement or addition
- Vanities, counters, lighting, ventilation and heated floors

Washington adds retail sales tax, 8.9 percent in the City of Vancouver, to the full contract price. Our bathroom cost guide goes deeper on what moves the number.
Permits and plumbing in Clark County
Fixture-for-fixture swaps rarely need a permit, but moving drains or supply lines, changing circuits or reworking walls does. Inside Vancouver city limits that is a RES permit, or an MPE trade permit for standalone plumbing and electrical work; the city issues its own electrical permits. In unincorporated Clark County the building permit runs through the CC LMS portal and the electrical permit comes from Washington L&I. The details live in our permit guide, and we file all of it for you.
Bathroom remodeling questions
What does a bathroom remodel cost in Vancouver, WA?
Angi's cost guide puts a typical bathroom remodel at $6,000 to $15,000 with an average around $10,000, and mid-to-upscale remodels at $20,000 to $60,000 or more. The 2025 Cost vs. Value Report puts a midrange bath remodel in the Pacific region at $27,710 with 91 percent recouped at resale. Your written estimate after an in-home visit is the real number.
Do I need a permit for a bathroom remodel?
Like-for-like fixture swaps usually do not need one. Moving plumbing, changing electrical circuits, altering walls or adding a bathroom does. Inside the city it runs through a City of Vancouver RES or MPE permit; in unincorporated Clark County through CC LMS, with electrical permits issued by Washington L&I. We handle the filings.
Can you convert a tub to a walk-in shower?
Yes, tub-to-shower conversions with tiled walls, glass and proper waterproofing are one of the most requested projects. Done right they involve membrane waterproofing, correct slopes and ventilation, which is where cheap conversions fail.
Does sales tax apply to bathroom remodels in Washington?
Yes. Custom residential construction is a retail sale in Washington, so sales tax applies to the full contract price, 8.9 percent in the City of Vancouver per the Department of Revenue rate lookup. Every estimate we write shows it as its own line.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
Scope and material lead times decide it, so we quote the schedule in writing with your estimate rather than guessing here. A single-bathroom remodel is typically measured in weeks once demolition starts, and we keep one working bathroom available whenever the house has one.
Do you remodel bathrooms for accessibility?
Yes, curbless showers, grab-bar blocking, wider doorways and comfort-height fixtures are part of our aging-in-place work. The 2025 Cost vs. Value Report lists universal-design bath remodels recouping 61 percent nationally, and the daily usability gain is the real argument.
